Expect an unforgettable journey filled with natural wonders, cultural immersion, and smooth logistics from start to finish. You’ll travel comfortably in a well-maintained vehicle with experienced drivers and guides. On Day 1, your road trip adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. After crossing the Namanga border and clearing with your passport or temporary permit and yellow fever certificate, the scenic drive through Tanzania’s lush landscape leads you to Moshi Town. Upon arrival, you’ll check in to your hotel and enjoy a hot meal. In the afternoon, embark on a short guided city tour of Moshi, discovering local shops, vibrant markets, and the charm of this relaxed town. Later, you’ll unwind at your hotel with dinner and time to relax or explore the nightlife.
On Day 2, after a hearty breakfast, you’ll set off to visit the stunning Kilasiya Waterfall, nestled on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy the refreshing atmosphere and take a plunge into the cool natural pools. Next, head to the Chemka (Kikuletwa) Hot Springs for a unique swimming experience in the warm, crystal-clear water surrounded by fig trees. You’ll also enjoy the quirky “fish pedicure” provided by the tiny Garra rufa fish nibbling at your feet. Return to your hotel in the evening, where dinner and relaxation await.
On Day 3, after breakfast, check out and journey toward Arusha for a cultural exploration. You’ll visit the iconic Arusha Cultural Heritage Centre, home to a museum, African art galleries, craft shops, and Tanzanite displays. Following a guided city tour and time for souvenir shopping, you’ll start the scenic return trip to Nairobi, bringing your East African road trip to a satisfying close in the evening.
